The Office of Administration is organized into four major components:
Bureau of Human Resources
This bureau, directed by Nancy Bitzer, serves as the agency's human resources office, including recruiting staff, administering employee benefits, labor relations, career management, and employee development programs.
Public Affairs
Under the direction of Michael P. Freeman, Public Affairs conducts the RRB’s external communications program and is responsible for media relations, congressional inquiries, and digital/web engagement. Public Affairs also issues press releases and produces a variety of publications and informational materials about the agency’s benefit programs.
Acquisition Management
The Division of Acquisition Management is supervised by Stephen Schenk. This division has primary responsibility for managing the agency's procurement and contracting activities (including selection, award, administration, and close-out).
Building and Support Operations
Building and Support Operations is supervised by Scott L. Rush. This division has primary responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the headquarters facility and also manages the agency's mail, supply, and printing activities.
