Office of Inspector General

The Office of Inspector General is a statutorily created independent entity whose mission is to detect and deter fraud, waste, abuse and misconduct in RRB programs and operations. The OIG investigates violations of criminal and civil law and conducts independent audits and reviews of the Railroad Retirement Board programs and operations.

Audit

The Office of Audit's mission is to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the administration of Railroad Retirement Board programs and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse in such programs.

Investigations

The Office of Investigations focuses its efforts on identifying, investigating, and presenting Railroad Retirement Board benefit fraud cases for prosecution.
