Office of Equal Opportunity

The Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) provides leadership, direction and guidance in carrying out the RRB’s equal opportunity and civil rights responsibilities. OEO administers the agency wide equal employment opportunity (EEO) program by initiating policy, implementing and enforcing a variety of Federal laws, executive orders and regulations that relate to EEO. This office is also responsible for providing oversight for the affirmative employment and discrimination complaint programs.

OEO assists RRB employees and applicants for employment with RRB who would like to file a complaint of discrimination.

OEO also assists RRB employees, applicants, and members of the public with disabilities who would like to file a complaint concerning accessibility of RRB programs, activities, or information communication technology:

  • Program Accessibility:  RRB employees, applicants, or members of the public with disabilities who would like to file a complaint, alleging that RRB failed to make its programs and activities accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities or otherwise subjected them to discrimination under any program or activity conducted by RRB based on disability in violation of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
  • Information Communication Technology Accessibility:  RRB employees, applicants, or members of the public with disabilities who would like to file a complaint, alleging that RRB failed to develop, procure, maintain, or use information communication technology in a manner that ensures accessibility and usability for individuals with disabilities in violation of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

If you have any questions regarding the EEO complaint process or to reach an Agency EEO Counselor, you may contact us in the following ways:

E-mail: oeo@rrb.gov

Phone: 312-751-4943 or TTY: 312-932-0628

Mail:
