What is Pay.Gov?
Pay.gov is a free payment service offered by the U.S. Department of the
Treasury. It is:
- Secure. Pay.gov uses the highest current industry standards for secure
transactions.
- Easy to use. You can access Pay.gov anywhere with an Internet connection
- Convenient. You can schedule payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To make RUIA contributions only
If you want to only pay your RUIA contributions via the Internet (but still
send in your Forms DC-1 via mail or fax) go to
www.Pay.gov and login with your Pay.gov username and password. If you do not
have a Pay.gov username and password, select the ‘Click here to Register’ link
from the home page and follow the directions offered.
After you have logged into Pay.gov, go to the option ‘Find Public Forms” and
click on ‘By Agency Name’ >’Railroad Retirement Board’>and then ’Employer’s
Payment of Unemployment Contributions’.
